HNT anniversary!

it's been a year since the HNT fun and games started.. from a handful of guys n' gals having fun to the huge conglomerate it is now! for those who have no idea what i am on about, HNT means Half-Nekkid Thursday.. basically a day to post a fun pic. started by Osbasso, he laid out some guidelines too..

i've been out of the loop for a while now, ever since my camera gave up the ghost on me.. but to commemorate the anniversary everyone's posting their first HNT pic. i first started out in June last year, and this was the pic!

since then i have been on and off with the HNT posting.. but here are a couple of my faves, and needless to say, fan favorites too.. hehe! ;-)

chip off the ol' tootH-NT

no this is not a vampire pic from Halloween.. just a pic of my chipped front tooth! the story harks back to high school, when i used to play rugby.. which differs from american football in that you don't have the whole Kevlar bulletproof armor and all.. just put on your jock strap and you're off to the races!!

the thing about rugby is, you either gotta be big, or fast.. both is even better! the problem with not being big is that eventually you will get caught.. and the result of a particularly unpleasant pile-up is what you see below, a broken nose and three extremely painful root-canal treatments.. not a punishment i would will upon even a most-hated enemy!

a long long time back.. when i was in my teens.. wrestling was all the rage, and WWF was the coolest thing ever! to some people it still is the coolest thing.. of course, such folk still live with their moms and drink Pabst Blue Ribbon, but let's not go there!

this is how i wind down some weeknights.. watching M*A*S*H from 11 to 1, on our vintage television, with a beer (or two.. hehe!). i don't know what it is about the show.. it's just a bunch of jaded and sozzled doctors in Korea '52, mending soldiers and playing pranks.. but i'm really hooked on it!

ok, so this one's not really half-nekkid! we moved recently, and i unearthed this pair of jeans, which i wore to death back in undergrad! unfortunately the waist doesn't fit anymore.. a shame really, considering the effort that went into carefully stitching and trimming the slits and unravelling the frayed edges!

HNT for Texas!

this HNT is dedicated to all the folks in Texas preparing for Rita, and especially to L and her family, who found the time among all this to send me a care package! the cap is from the Texas Longhorns.. who are 3-0 for the season, including a thriller against the OSU Buckeyes..

hehe, am back to HNT!! sticking with the football theme.. this is at our regular pub Third Base waiting for the Buffalo Bills preseason game last friday! it gets pretty crowded during games.. but this was before all the festivities. the best part of fridays at Third Base is the 'Mexican Happy Meal'.. a shot of tequila chased by a Corona.. perfect! ;-)

did i hear someone ask where i'm gonna be? well.. i'm going to OzzFest!! this year it's being held at the Six Flags (Darien Lake), so we're going to go ride the rollercoasters, waterslides, and do all sortsa crazy shit.. then get smashed, wave our hands and do some serious headbanging at the concert! 20 bands.. 2 stages.. 10+ hours of brainthumping, earblowing heavy metal!
